Questions For The Time Being
HD Video (5.22)
Video material casually accumulated between the studio and the street over the course of a year forms the backdrop for a reading of the poem ‘Questions For The Time Being’ by JH Prynne. In the poem, a case is made for the reshaping the technology of language to achieve autonomy from dominant and stagnant forms of representation and value. The image montage moves between synchronising in meaning with sentences from the poem and drifting along in a more atmospheric way.
